Pushing People Away

I experience Love Everyday;
I reach out to touch it,
To see the essence of friends
In warm embrace is heartening.

No more than a stroll away
Their smiles are infectious;
They glide through the air
To reach what they have been seeking.

The second-hand experience –
I love seeing people happy;
But I wonder if this is enough
To be happy Inside artificially.

The crying ache of an opposite –
A loveable soul that I would tell everything.
It has never been further away;
And when I reach out,
I See myself, everyday.

It has never been enough;
It never will be enough;
While in the surrounding embrace
We move away together.

Bring Out The Best In Me

I studied the sky intently with a borrowed suit
Designed to wait in the way required by them
However, I could barely stand up straight.
The wind whistled the tune of change in us all;
Difference was hard to spot, but noticeable.
I straightened my silver tie and watched.

Today is a delegation, A kind of meeting;
Awaiting the masters who have always controlled us,
Kept us safe, stopped us from moving too quickly.
I suppose I should be grateful for the envious honour
To greet, parade and welcome the Overseer
Into their world of limitless Joy in the castles.

My feet clicked and my back engulfed me;
Just stand and smile while taking it all in
To show the world what peace really looks like.
After all, I don’t suppose people even noticed a war,
There was no rubble, no burning buildings of hate.
It was an extermination of our disorder; Priceless.

My first guess was that we needed to be taught a lesson;
A demonstration of mechanised efficiency so valuable,
So understandable to live in the castles with pride.
I can turn and see these rounded marvels of steel;
Forged with precision and undeniable authority
Making sure we stand where are with our silver ties.

When the night is as dark as graphite, they appear.
It is almost routine to hear the buzz before your eyes
Adjust – whether with tears or the clouds of dust accumulated.
Emotions aside, here they are and here I am; sold
To the natural way of life, Inside the tall towers.
I sometimes wonder what living on the outside is like.

My ancestors were slimy in their intent; Dominating
With their thoughts of world supremacy – Metal Bullets.
The delegation is a sign of change and continuity all in one;
The Earth is not big enough for two contrasts; stigma.
We sit and take it all in while the mechanised control
And tell us what we are thinking with a sense of purpose.

There are two types of person; we are told this all the time.

Slow Drip

Dripping through the cavities
We see each other; hidden, obscured,
Yet very well aware of the decay.

The picture frame is hanging
Obviously at a slight edge, angled;
Unnerving all observers.

We are literally who people see us;
There are no cracks to cover at all.
The surface is bad enough to explore.

Everyday is a sweat-soaked trauma
Of keeping ourselves together;
We are all in this spiral mess.

The pains are imagined; universal.
Experience is the key to survival;
Understanding what pain actually is.

Laughter Of Language

If there was anything left that I could hold onto
No matter how hard it was to translate;
I would do so in a skip of a heartbeat
Even though it would probably end me.

If only the translation was acceptable enough
That communication was bearable in this mess;
Surprises always trickle around this old corner
And reveal themselves as another boundary.

Laughter is the new normality of communication
When all is escaping into a flurry of voices;
If only the words could be concise to sentence
Swearing that the farewell is a common embrace.

Bipolar stuggle with Others

If there was someway to have another chance
I would explain the pain that affects my mind
Causing you to see me badly at first glance
Yet without your understanding I am blind.

I am a product of my experience
Of acting a certain way towards people –
At times I may seem like I’m delirious
Though when I’m in my state I really can’t tell.

Is there really anyway to show you this?
To fight through my struggles and glimpse through the sheet?
Bipolar is difficult; you don’t process
With regularity; Midtones with concrete.

You know this, I know this; but it’s not easy
To accept a life knowing my moods don’t stay –
They whisk around and follow me completely;
I wake and see you, so face another day.

Two way

Keeping tabs on laughter
Holding on to purse strings
Limiting desire –
You know it’s all I want to do now,
You know it’s all I want to see –
How, making me feel easy
Blanking out with staring
Watching for the first hand –
We share exactly what we want now,
We share out memories and time –
Show, hiding all our good days
Beating up with talking
Hurting from the inside –
My struggle kills off my true feelings
My struggle ends my hopes and dreams –
Seems, hating all the movement
Shielded from the real life
Laying down and sleeping.

One

One night was all it took
The magic kept us there
All colour in the air
I begged you take a look.

One time to tell the truth
Discover all our wants
Then confess all our Haunts
And reminisce Our Youth.

One chance to feel your form
Will I be ready now
The golden Air somehow
Will calm the mindless storm.

Both minds merged into one
The rush of feeling flow
Her words an afterglow
Of what had just begun.

We call to hearts abound
Why do they grant this touch
Of memories so much
They twist us all around.

One night of calm embrace
To feel you on my skin
The sound of violin
Your blanket windswept face.

Two days of keeping faith
And closing all the doors
I knew that when I swore
I promised all I gave.

One moment’s not enough
The laughter filled the air
To smell and stroke your hair
Discovered I’m in Love.

Do or Die

Freezing over a lifeless event
A photo of imagination,
Reality is a memory of static
With tape to bind you.

Lying is such a hurtful embrace
A burning eye of unsightly Green,
Fantasy is walking forever without hope
With friends to hold you.

Clinging on to what matters the most
A mutual, unfamiliar hand,
Freedom is choosing to be happy at this time
Without the worry.

Between the veil

Dandilion and burdock sunset
Along a thousand memory alleyway,
So tranquil and without bedlam
Within the soft lucence of the twilight.

Still I tour, treading with appetite
At the reflection within the fracture
That heals with each passing day –
I beam at the abundance of retention.

Mindful – And eager to evidence more,
The stroll widened into an eclipse
That took me beyond my comfort zone.
No longer did I remain stable; Midnight.

Faster in stride, more complex in movement
Skipping past stones and pavement splinters
Without grace; yesterdays downpour
Harvesting the growth of inertia.

Still, relentless obscurity of night
Covering the land with a hazy mist
That shrouds the layers of brighter steps
To replace, quite indiscriminately.

Glance up, a lighthouse, a guided path
To show the way, like it always has –
Turning, obscuring and disappearing
But always returning; My guardian angel.

Why do you have to leave me in shadow?
Indeed, your return is slow and afflicting –
A beam of sentiment that you share
By encompassing and reflecting my glow.

By tomorrow you will be but a circle –
Forgotten, bystander in nature’s whim.
But I dwell upon your affecting radiance
And I hunt for you between the veil.

I love you

Don’t you think that people can overcomplicate?

Misjudge a simple situation while on a date?

Perhaps all that is needed is a petty expression,

One that certainly allows no possible concession

Other than the natural tone of the whispered word –

Sadly for me this often goes unheard.

I speak without conviction, nor genuine meaning

At least, not without sounding somewhat demeaning

And contrasting future, present and past

With what is in flesh – The memories are vast,

But not important with us, I see that now

It’s just that you pierced through it all, somehow

And made me contradict my pure, naked design –

The very substance that made the feeling mine.

I am ready now, as I knew you were too,

To simply gulp and say – I love you.
